Request Account Deletion for MindTap
We understand that privacy is important, and we are committed to providing our users with control over their personal data. If you would like to delete your account and associated data, you can do so through the following options:
How to Request Account Deletion
You can delete your account in two ways:
Option 1: Via the App Settings
- Open the MindTap app on your device.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Delete Account.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your request. Please ensure that you are logged into the correct account before proceeding.
Option 2: Via Email
Alternatively, if you prefer, you can send us an email:
- Email us at devchanaka@gmail.com with the subject line: "Request Account Deletion."
- Include your account details (e.g., the email address associated with your account) so we can locate your data.
- After receiving your request, we will process the deletion within X business days (please update with your processing time).
What Happens After Your Request?
Once your account is deleted, the following types of data will be removed:
- Personal Information (e.g., name, email address)
- Usage Data (e.g., app interactions)
After deletion, we will confirm that your request has been processed, and your personal information will be permanently erased from our systems. However, please note that certain data may remain in our backup systems for a limited time.
Why We Retain Some Data
While we strive to delete all user data upon request, there are certain instances where some data may need to be retained for legal reasons. For example, data retention may be required to comply with our legal obligations or to address any potential disputes.
